Two competitions at this level这一级有两项比赛
- SPC OnlineSPC Online
- Two 30-minute sets of 20 multiple-choice questions, largely about physics ideas and wider reading; sat in school in a week in January. The official page calls it a quiz, not an olympiad challenge两组各 30 分钟、各 20 道选择题，以物理概念与课外阅读为主；1 月某一周内在校完成。官方称它是测验，而非奥赛式挑战
- SPC paperSPC 笔试
- One hour: several short questions followed by one or two longer ones, testing core knowledge and its application. Little new Year 12 content is needed; the style is more advanced than students are used to一小时：若干短题加一两道长题，考核心知识及其应用。几乎不需要 12 年级的新内容，但题目风格比学生平时见到的更进一步

Where it sits它在体系中的位置
SPC is a competition in its own right, not a qualifier for the olympiad rounds. It is the natural Year 12 companion to them: the official Round 0 page invites Year 12 students to sit Round 0 as a trial run, and the problem-solving style of the SPC paper is the style of Round 1. The official advice is to work through about four past papers.
